Michael Cantor, Co-Managing Partner of Cantor Colburn LLP, spoke at the 2012 Seoul International Trademark Forum on October 19, presented jointly by the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Korean Trademark & Design Association (KOTA) at the COEX Intercontinental Seoul.? Mr. Cantor?s presentation discussed the issues of ?use? and ?intent to use? in the establishment of trademark rights in the United States.? An audience of 250 trademark practitioners from South Korea and around the world attended the Forum.? INTA and KOTA timed their event to lead up to the 43rd World Intellectual Property Congress of the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propri?t? Intellectuelle (AIPPI), also held in Seoul immediately following the International Trademark Forum.
Michael Cantor has been an intellectual property attorney for almost 30 years, and has grown Cantor Colburn from a one-office patent firm of 10 attorneys into one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the United States, with 100 attorneys in offices in Hartford, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Houston, and Detroit.?
